Planning application 17/00180/OUT submitted

25 Apr 2017

Barratt Developments, Taylor Wimpey, and the Great Oakley and Rockingham Castle Estates have recently submitted a planning application for West Corby, which sets out how new houses, schools, community facilities and employment land can be delivered.

The proposed masterplan and supporting technical investigations which we have undertaken to support proposals for development are available for viewing on the Council’s planning portal. Corby Borough Council is now undertaking broader pubic consultation on the proposals and would like to hear from you.

You can comment on the proposals by visiting

The proposals include 4,500 homes, from starter to larger family homes (including those managed by housing associations) which will be delivered over around 20 years. There will also be a range of job opportunities in different kinds of employment space provided along the Mixed Use Street as well as in the Local Centres and designated Employment Area. The Local Centres providing shops, community facilities and Primary Schools will be linked by the mixed use street and create a vibrant heart to the new community.

The formal consultation period runs for only a few weeks.

This is your chance to further contribute to how Corby grows over the next decade.
